Plagiarism

LIT&TOUR takes issues of copyright infringement, plagiarism or other breaches of best practice in publication seriously. We will seek to protect the rights of authors published in our journal and to thoroughly investigate any allegations of plagiarism or misuse of published articles. Equally, we will seek to protect the reputation of our journal against any misconduct.

Submitted articles may be checked for originality using software to detect duplicate content. In circumstances where plagiarism or the improper and/or insufficient acknowledgement of third party copyright material is detected, or where the authorship of the article is contested, the journal will take further action, which includes but is not limited to: publishing an erratum or rectification (correction) note; retracting the article; taking up the matter with the head of department or dean of the author’s institution and/or relevant academic bodies or societies; or appropriate legal action.

Editorial Procedure

The works submitted to LIT&TOUR are initially examined by the editorial board of the journal, considering the adequacy to the theme of the call for articles in progress and the full compliance with editorial standards.

The decision to publish the articles proposed to the journal is made by the editorial board, and by the reviewers. Each article is submitted to a double-blind review, by experts in the applicable field.

The two reviewers make a written evaluation of the submitted article and recommend the acceptance or rejection of the article according to an established rule, considering the academic quality of the article, the originality and the relevance for the call for articles and for the objectives and scope of the journal.

Articles can be modified according to the reviewers' recommendations and re-submitted for further evaluation, preferably by the same reviewers.

Authors are always notified by email throughout the reviewing process.

Before final publication, the proofs are sent to the authors for final approval of publication.

Authors will not be charged any fees for processing and submitting articles.
